Our Story
Furniture Designed Around the Way You Live
We started Westor with a simple belief: that beautiful, well-made furniture shouldn't cost the earth — literally or figuratively. Every piece we make is crafted from sustainably sourced oak in our Cotswolds workshop.
From Workshop to Home
In 2012, master furniture maker James Weston set up a small workshop in the Cotswolds with one goal: to make honest, beautiful furniture that would last for generations. No shortcuts, no veneers, no flat-pack compromises.
What started as a one-man operation has grown into a team of 35 dedicated craftspeople, but the ethos remains the same. Every piece is made by hand using traditional joinery techniques that have been refined over centuries.
We source all our timber from FSC-certified European forests and are committed to planting two trees for every one we use. Because making furniture that lasts means thinking about what comes next.
What We Stand For
Sustainability First
Every piece of timber is FSC certified and sourced from sustainably managed European forests. We plant two trees for every one we use.
Traditional Craft
Our furniture is built using time-honoured joinery techniques — mortise and tenon, dovetail, and dowel joints that get stronger with age.
Made in Britain
Every piece is handcrafted in our workshop in the Cotswolds by a small team of dedicated craftspeople with decades of experience.
Built to Last
We design furniture to be kept for generations, not seasons. Quality materials and expert construction mean less waste and more value.
