We make for DIYers and builders of beautiful things — people who know what they want, usually to the millimetre, and would rather not sand a stock part into submission. You send the dimensions, we cut and join to them, and your order is dispatched within three working days.

Tell us exactly what you need — the width of the reveal, the depth of the alcove, the length of the run. We cut to your dimensions, to the millimetre.

We choose the material
Every job starts at the rack. We pick boards for grain and colour so an oak cill reads as one piece, and stock metal that machines and finishes cleanly.

We cut and join it
Precise cutting, and proper joinery where the job calls for it. Edges finished, not just sawn — ready to fit, not ready to fettle.

Materials and finishes
European oak
Our default. Hard, pale, and it darkens honestly with age rather than going orange.
Other hardwoods
Elm for wilder figure, walnut for dark without stain. Availability moves with what the merchants have, so ask early.
Metal
Aluminium and brass, cut clean and to the millimetre — exactly how you want it.

Where the wood comes from
Our timber is responsibly sourced through UK merchants we have used for years. Offcuts become smaller pieces; what is left goes to the workshop stove. We are not going to claim carbon neutrality — we run machines — but cutting to order means we make what is wanted rather than what might sell, and nothing here is designed to be replaced in five years.
