We collect as little as we can get away with: what we need to make and deliver your order, and — only if you say yes — analytics that tell us how the site is used.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Augmun Ltd, trading as Westor — a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13335266, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, London, Greater London, WC2H 9JQ. For anything in this policy, email hello@westor.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
When you order. Your name, contact details, delivery address and order details, so we can make and send what you bought. Checkout runs on Shopify, on Shopify’s own domain — your card details go to Shopify’s payment processing and never touch our servers. The lawful basis is the contract between us.
When you email us. Whatever you choose to tell us, kept so we can deal with your enquiry.
If you opt in to analytics. With your consent — and only with it — we use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks and form interactions, performance timings, device and browser information, and session replays in which everything you type is masked. Nothing analytics-related loads before you opt in, and declining is a one-click choice. The lawful basis is consent. The detail is on our cookies page.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years, because tax law requires it — the lawful basis for that is legal obligation. Everything else is kept only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we rely on
